Alok Jagdhari
CEO and CIO
Prior to joining AQIS, Alok spent over six years as the Chief Risk Officer and Head of Data Analytics at Discovery Capital, a global macro hedge fund based in Norwalk, CT. Alok has spent his career in financial services and in fin-tech, spending the early part of his career at SocGen Crosby and BNP Paribas in India and Singapore. Alok is also the founding partner of 92Angels, a platform targeting investment opportunities in deep science and technology arenas. Alok and the Founder of AQIS, K.C. Hamann, also Co-founded Factor Sentiment Analytics, a quantitative market research firm that constructs off-the-shelf alphas for quantitative investment firms. FSA specializes in building sentiment models by applying unsupervised machine learning models to market data and trading data.
AQIS History
AQIS was founded by Kellogg C. (“K.C.”) Hamann in April of 2017. Prior to launching AQIS, K.C. was a member of the investment team at North Star Partners, a small-cap, value-oriented long/short equity hedge fund. K.C. joined North Star in 2010 as one of three members of the investment team. Prior to North Star, K.C. was an Analyst with Post Road Capital, a value-oriented long/short equity hedge fund. K.C. holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. In addition to managing AQIS, K.C. is the Co-founder of Factor Sentiment Analytics ("FSA"), a market research firm. K.C. is a financial literacy advocate and has served on the board of My Money Workshop, a not-for-profit organization that educates high school and college students on fiscal responsibility and proper money management. K.C. also served on the board of Reserve Rentals, a privately owned corporate housing and short-term rental operator that was sold in an exit in October of 2018.

K.C. has had articles featured at Novus, Absolute Return and ValueWalk, and has been a ValueWalk Contributor since June of 2018. In July of 2020, K.C. was featured in Episode 1 of the third season of Flirting With Models, a quantitative investing podcast hosted by Corey Hoffstein of NewFound Research.
